ALJAMA ASKS MAYOR FOR ELECTRICITY FOR “POOKE SE BOS” IN SUBCOUNCIL 17

Residents in this informal settlement are without electricity after their cables were stolen. As it has now been highlighted that the land they live on is privately owned their electricity will not be restored. AL JAMA has asked the mayor Patricia De Lille to find a way to help them on humanitarian grounds and in a subcouncil meeting stated that if the Opposition ANC objects “they can go to hell”. The dignity of citizens is more important than technicalities and scoring points thus giving the DA excuses to make this City the “worst run City in terms of human dignity” in South Africa. The sooner land is restored to the people who live on them the better says Councillor Ganief Hendricks.
Toilets provided by the City to Pooke se Bos closes at 9p.m. So after 9 p.m. t is the bos.
