TORNADO’S HIT FREE STATE ON EVE OF MANENBERG TORNADO VICTIMS BEING EVICTED

A tornado hit the Free State. South Africans generosity and compassion will once again be tested 12 years after the Manenberg Tornado in Cape Town in August 1999 leaving 200 families homeless and five people killed.  The tornado struck on the eve of evictions of those helped  in the Manenberg  tornado souring the generosity of Cape Town residents. No legacy for the City to be proud of if evictions follow.
