MUSLIMS TO DEBATE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The Shariah Conference set to take place in 2013 in Cape Town will tap the wisdom of shariah experts to set up workable structures to ensure that the Muslim and broader community contribute to the realization of the vision envisaged for the country in 2030.

Party Leader of AL JAMA-AH and labour activist Ganief Hendricks welcomed an important dimension of the plan that all South Africans will live above the breadline but said the plan fell short of the Party’s own vision that there should be full employment in the country.

Minister Trevor Manuel’s National Planning’s Commission┬átarget is 11 million jobs by 2030. AL┬áJAMA-AH has embraced many of the Commissions┬átargets and has creative ideas for it to achieve its job target.
