Gauteng provincial chair of Al Jama-ah,Councillor Thapelo Amad attended an event on 23rd  August 2025,which  took place in Mayfair.

Alongside with him it was the National spokesperson of the movement. The event was a political dialogue about the dispossessed nations and the 41st Anniversary Celebration of the Ogadenia National Liberation Movement (ONLF)

Cllr Thapelo Amad chairing the strategy plan of the committee, Health and Social Development, attended by Councillors of the committee, MMC, Senior management from the Departments and their officials and officials from the Legislature.

On the 05th August 2025, HSD Committee had a strategic planning session until 06th August 2025.

Departments are giving us presentations on their SDBIPs that highlights their strategic programmes and interventions planned for the new financial year.

The engagements will then assist the committee members to select their Key Oversight priorities and develop committee oversight activities – that will be added to the ACTION PLAN – which will be the output of the session.

The Action Plan will be reviewed twice in the financial year to assess the performance of the committee and the compliance to the Key oversight
