The Cape Ulema Assistance Program is an initiative that was started by Saleem Hassan.
In 2007 the objective was to serve and uplift the Cape Ulema financially and also empower and teach them skills to be self-sustainable.
Saleem said-We have assisted over 250 Ullema since 2007 to create better opportunities for them and their families so they may be able to assist the communities they work in.
The Al Jama-ah Party has identified the Ulema Fraternity as the ideal platform to serve their communities as Ward Councilors for the Upcoming 2026 Local Elections.
As the Ulema already engage in many duties that form part of the Councilors Duties.
The Ulema will be given a Political Master Class through Al Jama-ah and stand as candidates for the Local Elections.
