Honouring our youngest participants of the Swim for Gaza event

The women and youth league of Al Jama-ah Adv Shameemah Salie, MP; Ayesha Allie Patel, Nisa Siers, Najmah Salie today issued certificates of bravery and a token of appreciation to the two youngest participants of the Swim for Gaza event held on 27 April 2025, Freedom day.

Al Jama-ah MP recognizes that 24 swimmers braved the cold Atlantic on Freedom Day in solidarity with Palestineto raise awareness of the plight of Gaza and to assist Gift of Givers and Palestine Solidarity campaign in raising funds for aid for Gaza.

We recognize that Saarah Mosajee and Amaan Fataar form part of the youngest of the contestants that participated in this event.

We recognize that to stand up for humanity and against injustice and oppression as an adult can be difficult and we note that at such a young age it does not come without challenges.

We have witnessed those who are not in agreement with supporting Palestine and humanity lashing out and denying youth recognition and we say Not in our name or on our watch!

We are very proud of our youth for standing up and working on a cause to assist with aid for those who are suffering the worse atrocities imaginable.

The youth is our beacon of hope, and we congratulate the parents of these amazing young girls for their support and guidance to their daughters.

May more youth be inspired and motivated by these brave souls and commit to standing up and protecting humanity.

Saarah Moosajee and Amaan Fataar parents and family may you and all who participated may you always be under the guidance and protection of the Almighty Ameen

From the River to the Sea Palestine will be Free!

Al Jama-ah Pelican Park Youth Day Celebrations

Al Jama-ah Pelican Park Youth Day Celebrations

What an amazing day and experience spending the day with the kids of Pelican Park.

Watching the smiles and hearing the laughter of kids who go through so many trials and tribulations on a daily basis. It makes you realize that your own problems are so small in comparison to theirs. The appreciation from these little ones for even just a sandwich.

Then you think of the kids who have everything but do not appreciate what they have.
I feel so honored to be part of this little one’s lives Alhamdulillah.

I would also like to firstly say shukran to our Almighty for giving me the opportunity to help and serve the community, then I would like to say Shukran to my team of helpers, you guys are amazing and never hesitate to assist.

To my sissie Shameemah Dollie Salie , Yusuf Khan Dalwai, Nisa Hendricks, Zain and Faheema Allie, and the president of Al Jama-ah wife Aunty Fatima Hendricks, shukran for always attending and also assisting the events.  The community and myself really appreciate it.
