Hon. Hendricks to join thousands of fasting residents of New, Horizon and Pelican Park on its second annual mass boeka on Saturday 8 April 2023 to kick off its 16th birthday. Hon Hendricks National Parliamentary Constituency Office is hosting the “Falooda Kiosk” and party stalwarts will prepare 2000 cups with ice cream. “Bringing Parliament to the streets”

Al Jama-ah supports Maphumulo community development programmes. Thousands of residents in Maphumulo gathered outside the OkwaMaphumulo Shopping Centre in KwaZulu-Natal on 31 March 2023 to celebrate the launch of its first online community radio station, IMaphumulo FM (INGONI FM).

 The launch of the online radio includes entertainment by various local artists and netball tournaments which will take place at a later stage. Al Jama-ah’s leader and Member of Parliament Hon Ganief Hendricks, says it is encouraging to see rural youth making good use of the various opportunities the government has made available to them. “We are confident the online radio will play an important role in the development of the community. The Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa has sent an encouraging message to IMaphumulo FM (INGONI FM) radio and the community which gives hope to many to strive for further development of local talent in media, sports, arts and culture,” says Hendricks
