OUR LAUNCH: WOMEN’S DAY 9 AUGUST

On the 9th of August 2023 Al Jama-ah officially launched it women’s league in Western Cape. The launch was held in Ward 67 Pelican Park where the party has a large support base.

Al Jama-ah women’s league mottos stem from and recognises that alone as women we are strong but we are “Stronger Together”

Women have been on the forefront of coalitions and we have been able to come together, work together, nurture, care for, uplift and empower our communities, our country and each other.

Women have been able to set aside differences over generations for the common good of humanity and have been on the forefront of change indeed women together is a force that many will fear for “if you strike a women you strike a rock”

Al Jama-ah recognize that women needs a political platform whereby they can be the leaders of beneficial change and be fully participative in the much needed transformation required in our country.

Al Jama-ah further recognises the leader of Al Jama-ah Honourable Ganief Hendricks who identifies the oppression faced by women and has strived to ensure a platform for women to be heard in Parliament whereas many others have failed us.

President Ganief Hendricks has been on the forefront in Parliament to ensure the dignity and justice for women and has presented and contributed towards 4 bills and amendments where relevant to effect beneficial change for women.

Though the official launch of the women’s league is long overdue, the beauty of the Al Jama-ah women’s league is that we are not promising what we envision doing, we are striving to increase our footprint and do more. For the women in Al Jama-ah has for years been serving, uplifting and empowering communities and will use the relevant platform to extend and grow and help more communities with the Qudrat of Allah SWT.

Being on the ground for years in communities we are all to aware of the challenges and injustice faced by women of all races and cultures.

Over generations we continue to face the impact of GBV, discrimination, genocide, unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, threats from external forces on how we raise our children in terms of education and culture and with the constant threat of other social ills.

Our faith and God consciousness and moral compass guides our conduct and the decisions we make for indeed as the prophet Moegammad S.A.W stated: “The condition of society depends on the consciousness of our women”

Our mission is to fund, strengthen and uphold the principles of Al Jama-ah to strive for unity, justice, peace, upliftment and empowerment of our women.

The women in Al Jama-ah has worked alongside many non profit organizations and individuals to identify the needs in the community and to assist in empowerment and upliftment of those in need no matter the race, culture or affiliation for Al Jama-ah it’s is about assisting humanity and we welcome all organisations and women to become a part of Al Jama-ah Women’s League

Women needs to take this opportunity and participate in the structures to bring about social economic change and enhance the development of not only a community but our country

May the Almighty grant Al Jama-ah women’s league beneficial success Ameen
