The Tshwane Al Jama-ah team hosted a build-up programme in Alice, near Fort Hare University, as part of preparations for the upcoming Social Development Youth Career Expo and service activation taking place on 4 June in Sheshegu.

The engagement created an opportunity to connect with young people and communities ahead of the event, while raising awareness around the opportunities and support services that will be available during the Expo.

Focused on youth empowerment and access to opportunity, the Career Expo forms part of broader efforts to encourage participation, skills development, and engagement with programmes aimed at supporting young people as they prepare for future education, employment, and economic opportunities.

Al Jama-ah teams were active in Umzinto during registration weekend as part of continued preparations ahead of the upcoming by-election period.

The weekend focused on encouraging residents to register, confirm their voting details, and engage in the democratic process ahead of the elections. Through community presence and direct engagement, the initiative aimed to ensure that local voices are heard and that residents are informed and ready to participate.

Al Jama-ah continues to prioritise grassroots outreach and believes that meaningful change starts with active communities and participation at local level.
