Al Jama-ah Drakenstein distributed food parcels to farm dwellers at Nantes farm and farm evictees from Soetendal farm in Wellington.
The 23 evicted families were relocated by the Drakenstein Municipality on an empty plot in New Rest in zinc shacks, which became known as Plankies Informal Settlement.
The food parcels were handed out by Al Jama-ah members, Saleem Hassan, Councilor Ahmed Stulweni (Drakenstein Municipality) and youth members.
