Drakenstein Aljama ah Councillor Stulweni and his team woke up at dawn when a fire occurred in Jan Groentjie Paarl East, which is one of Drakentein’s wards.
After they assisted the victims where they established that no injuries occurred but damages of three houses and four informal settlements, which have six different families, Aljama-ah prepared lunch and supper and served the food to the victims of the fire plus the surrounding community.
We also hosted a Back to School programme in ward 13. Mrs Shariefa Hendricks donated stationary and food to 100 children and 10 adults living in Groenheuwel
