Al Jama-ah strongly condemns the call made by the DA to Minister of International Relations and Cooperation to report Iran to the UN Human Rights Council:
Al Jama-ah Party strongly condemns the ludicrous call made by the DA (Democratic Alliance) to the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation to report the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for human rights abuses.
Al Jama-ah says the Zionist-aligned DA is determined to reverse South Africa’s historical support and solidarity with Palestine’s liberation struggle against the Zionist illegal settler regime.
The DA is known to support the Zionist regime’s occupation of Palestine and the ongoing genocide of Gazans. It is as hostile towards the Islamic Resistance as it was against the South African liberation movements.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has a right to protect the country’s sovereignty against any infiltration of foreign forces. By demonising the Iranian government it further reveals that the DA and like-minded opposition parties show scant regard for South Africa’s own freedom struggle against apartheid and colonialism,” says Al Jama-ah’s leader Hon Ganief Hendricks.
Al Jama-ah calls on South Africans not to support political parties who are mimicking genocide, illegal occupation and apartheid.
