PRESS RELEASE

AL JAMA-AH says the Madleen Aid Ship should have free passage to deliver much needed aid to Gaza:

Al Jama-ah Party’s leader Hon Ganief Hendricks who is Deputy Minister of Social Development, will after the closure of government’s extensive children’s programme on Child Protection Month being held in Tzaneen over the weekend, campaign for the human rights of children in Gaza.

“When it comes to children, the village must care for them and South Africa is part of this global village. Sadly, the world is not doing enough for children despite several countries throughout the world having signed Conventions to protect ‘Children of the Planets,” says Hendricks.

Al Jama-ah Party condemns the despicable calls made by Zionist and apartheid supporters for the sinking of the Madleen ship, launched by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) to deliver much needed humanitarian aid to Gazans.

Furthermore the Jerusalem Post reported that a senior Israeli defence source stated that the ship will not be allowed passage, activists would face arrests and the ship along with the humanitarian aid, would be seized.

Al Jama-ah condemns the Zionist cowardly acts of terror, intimidation of those aboard the ship and the hovering of a drone above it. The young climate activist, Greta Thunberg is among 12 human rights activist aboard the vessel. Humanitarian aid include baby formula, medicines and food to starving Gazans. Their courageous effort will restore some humanity to a world who are spectators to the genocide of Palestinians.

The party commends the brave stance taken by the human rights activist on board the Madaleen ship and that of YouTuber, Ms Rachel Griffin Accurso who is risking her career to advocate for suffering children in Gaza.
