Hon Ganief Hendricks led a high level delegation of Al Jama-ah to a stakeholder engagement with the leadership of the Imam Development Program, Iqra Trust, WAMY and Islamic Relief.
Asghar Khan delivered a presentation on Al Jama-ah and the 2026 road map. Khan further implored the house to encourage Muslims and imams in particular to get involved and contest local government elections.
Al Jama-ah National Chairperson, Professor Muhammed Haron further expounded on the need for imams to be involved in politics.
Hon Ganief Hendricks gave an update on the delegations that Al Jama-ah has been entrusted with through the GNU including informing the forum about his role as a Deputy Minister.
