AL JAMA-AH says President Ramaphosa and NEC’s strong show of support for Palestine is unprecedented.

Al Jama-ah Party says President Cyril Ramaphosa and the NEC’s strong show of
support for Palestine, has indeed been unprecedented. It not only welcomes the President’s bold move, but it commends the stance that was radically different from, at least, five opposition parties; ones that have unashamedly pledged their unequivocal support for zionist Israel; an oppressive occupation force on Palestinian land for the past 75 years (indirectly supported by the UN).

Al Jama-ah says the African Christian Democratic Party’s (ACDP) condemnation of President Ramaphosa’s support for the Palestinians not only spewed hatred for Muslim and Christian Palestinians, who are exercising their right to defend their land, but that demonstrated that they have no sympathy for their fellow Christians who have been regularly spit on by Zionists-Jews in the sacred city of Jerusalem.

Millions of us, democratic-loving South Africans, abhor and disdain Zionist Israel’s inhumane acts against thousands of helpless Palestinians; these are genocidal acts that are tantamount to a holocaust. Al Jama-ah’s leader in Parliament, Hon Ganief stated that, we further condemn the ACDP, DA, Freedom Front Plus, Patriotic Alliance, Congress of the People for supporting zionist Israel’s acts of genocide of Palestinians. And he added that, we remember the role Palestinians and Western Saharans played to get armoury such as tanks and other weapons to South Africa from Libya to help our armed struggle against oppression.

Hendricks strongly suggests that the chairing of the Global Anti-Apartheid Movement by Rev Frank Chikane, will strengthen the unprecedented call. Christian leaders of political parties, like ACDP, should feel ashamed for their stand and they should, in fact, follow Chikane example; and ACDP should take heed of Dr Allan Boesaks stance and closely read the brave statement issued by the Anglican Church which declared Israel an apartheid state.

Now that Hamas has declared that they are embarking on an armed struggle – like the ANC and other liberation movements did – it is a revolutionary duty for the South African government to send resources to all liberation movements in Palestine to defend their country and people against the apartheid state of Israel,” says Hendricks, Al Jamaah’s leader in Parliament.

The party further makes a special plea that all Palestinian women should be armed;
this call is made to enable them to rightfully defend themselves. Since their men are not always able around to protect them, the Zionists also use the opportunity to physically abuse them.
“We do not want a repeat as in the case of the genocide in Bosnia where women could not be protected by the men. The women in Gaza are on their own, too,” says Hendricks.

Al Jama-ah says it hopes that the bold show of support from the President of the country, will lead to taking further drastic action against Israel. The party calls on all justice and freedom

loving people to continue their show of solidarity and unequivocal support to the Palestinians. Its special plea is: let us all stand up against Zionism wherever it raises its head!
