MP Imraan Moosa was invited to commemorate the sponsored borehole at Baragwanath Hospital.
It was the collaboration with Gauteng Province and Al Tawheed foundation and MEC for Health – and is a huge victory for the hospital ensuring continuity of care, public health protection, and operational resilience – and significantly reducing water costs over time.
A hospital needs a constant, reliable water supply for patient care, cleaning, sterilization, laundry, and kitchens.
If the municipal supply is interrupted (e.g., burst mains, drought, load-shedding affecting pumps), a borehole ensures operations continue without disruption.
