Cllr Thapelo Amad, MMC for Community Development in the City of Johannesburg, attended the 2026 Budget Speech delivered by Deputy Executive Mayor and MMC for Finance, Cllr Loyiso Masuku.
The budget was presented under the theme: “Building Johannesburg Together — Invest Today, Securing Tomorrow.”
The event brought together leaders, stakeholders, and members of the community to reflect on the City’s developmental priorities and future plans for Johannesburg.
During the engagement, Cllr Amad was warmly welcomed by members of the Junior Council of Johannesburg, who acknowledged his ongoing work within communities across the city. The young representatives also took the opportunity to capture memorable photographs with the MMC following the event.
The occasion highlighted the importance of youth participation, leadership engagement, and collaborative efforts aimed at building a stronger and more inclusive Johannesburg.
