Cllr Thapelo Amad engaged students and alumni at Voice of Wits (VOW) 88.1, sharing his journey and encouraging young people to believe in themselves and participate in shaping their future.
The round-table discussion provided an opportunity to speak openly with young people about the importance of voting, active citizenship and making a positive difference in their communities.
For Al Jama-ah, empowering young people means encouraging them not only to participate in democracy, but to recognise that their voices, choices and actions can help shape the future of South Africa.
