Al Jama-ah Councillor Adv Shameemah Salie and Member of Parliament Imraan Moosa were humbled and honoured to attend the beautiful initiative hosted by Gift of the Givers, celebrating and expressing gratitude to individuals and organisations who consistently dedicate themselves to uplifting, serving, and protecting humanity.
The event served as a powerful reminder that gratitude is a fundamental value in Islam.
Allah (SWT) teaches us to be grateful not only for our blessings but also to appreciate and acknowledge those who serve others with sincerity, compassion, and selflessness.
At a time when communities across the world face immense challenges, initiatives such as these reinforce the importance of standing together in unity, kindness, and service to humanity. Regardless of race, faith, culture, or background, we are called upon to uphold justice, extend compassion, and work collectively for the betterment of society.
We commend Gift of the Givers for creating a platform that recognises the often-unsung heroes who dedicate their lives to humanitarian service. May we continue to inspire one another to build bridges of understanding, strengthen the spirit of unity, and serve humanity with humility and gratitude.
“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.”
